CANDLE MAKING

Recipe supplies:

          Wax Heater

1 cup of candle wax (Soy or Beeswax)

5 to 7 drops of essential oils

3 or more drops of candle dye or a half a colored wax block (if you want some color in your                  candle)

           1 long skinny spoon

2 small candle jars or cans

           2 candle wicks

2 centering devices (wooden or metal)

    Instructions:

Step#1 You are going to need to get all your supplies out first. Including wax heater, candle wax, candle dye, Essential oil, and a long spoon. Pug in the wax heater and put 1 cup of wax in it. Turn it up to 257 Fahrenheit. (I will list my favorite brands for making candles.)

Step#2 While the wax is melting, put the candle wick in the candle jar and then center the wick with the centering device. Use the spoon to stir the wax as needed until wax is completely melted, then turn the heater down to 130 to 140 Fahrenheit.

Step#3 Once the temperature of the wax heater is between 130 to 140 degrees you will add the essential oil and the candle dye. After the mixture is stirred, pour into a candle jar, be careful not to uncenter the wicks in the jars. Wait 20 to 30 minutes for wax to harden. You are now ready to use or gift your candle.

Best brand and product to use for candle making at home for beginners, adults or teens.
